My Darkness

Darkness grows in me every day
Its smoke feels my glass shell of a figure
Suffocating the joy in every way
My soul so small, the dark is bigger
Once my flame shone so bright
To lighten my way forward
The fog now covers my light
I can not on onward
Smiles followed by frowns
Happiness and then sadness
Big ups and the downs
The cycle is endless
I can’t end it all
I can’t carry on
Limbo is where I dwell
Waiting for death to fall upon
In the span of life
I am in the middle
A world surrounded in strife
Just an endless riddle
