Behind the Brand: Poetry for Crows

Welcome to the roost.

Poetry for Crows is the creative home of Paul M. Baxter—an Essex-born writer, creative, and structural draughtsman. Operating at the intersection of rigid logic and raw emotion, Paul crafts verse that explores the gritty, observant, and deeply grounded realities of everyday life.

The Aesthetic & The Ritual

The crow is a constant motif in Paul's work: a sharp, watchful observer of the world's overlooked corners. This gritty realism is balanced by "The Dove"—a symbol of peace, softness, and light inspired by his wife, Samantha, to whom he dedicated his writing as “The Dove to my Crow.”

The writing process here isn't clinical; it’s atmospheric. Every piece is born from a distinct evening ritual: sitting down at 9:00 PM once the house quiets down, pouring a glass of whiskey, and letting the day’s observations transform into rhythm and rhyme.
