It’s been a long time since you passed

You think time in the great healer

But the pain will always last

My father was my only believer

I didn’t speak to him every day

But he always answered my call

He helped my problems go away

Saved me at every fall

He would make the hard easy

Tell me it's all ok

Gave the right answers to ease me

And help me on my way

Today I needed you

To hear your voice

To help me get through

And make the right choice

There was no one in your place

Spirit Of The House

House of old

Mere bricks and mortar

Keep's you out of the cold

And shelter from rainwater

It sees all that has been

Hears all that is said

Will see all there is to be seen

Will listen to all that will be read

After a while

The house becomes life

The tame turns wild

And turns the stabbed knife

It harvests the bad

And hosts an evil spirit

Can make you go mad

And all those who live in it

But all is not lost

For it can be made good

Fight at all cost

House in Misunderstood

Overcome all that it gives

Just like lice to delouse

And in time it forgives

For this is the spirit of the house.

Elephant

I am the Elephant in the room

The one who you will not talk

Brushed under the rug with your broom

Pass me you will always walk

As long as I am ignored

The longer I will stay

Talk about me I implore

Let me be on my way

I cause you to lie

To say something to change the tune

But you can let me die

End this feeling of doom.

A subject not discussed

The problem left unsolved

Talk about me you must

Let me out to be resolved

I will always be here

Waiting to be freed

A whisper in your ear

On your ignorance I feed
